- What is the difference between a Personal Chef
and a Private Chef? A private chef is employed by ONE
individual or family full time and often prepares up to 3 meals per day.
A Personal Chef serves several clients,
usually one per day, and provides multiple meals that are custom designed for the clients particular requests and requirements.
The meals are packaged and stored so that the client may enjoy them at their leisure
- Do you cook in my kitchen? No. We cook the meals in a commercial kitchen regulated by the Health
Department. The food is delivered at a mutually agreed upon time or picked up at the kitchen by you.
- Do I heat the food? Yes. Any entrees that have been stored for you in your freezer should be defrosted overnight in
your refrigerator and heated to be enjoyed at the peak of their flavor. We will be happy to leave you easy to follow
heating instructions for each entree.
- How does the cost compare
to eating out? The cost per meal is about the same as a decent restaurant.
However, we cater to your individual needs including your specific dietary requests such as low salt or fat unlike restaurants
which have to cook in quantity. You also have to tip the server (15 to 20%) and pay sales tax and the gasoline to get to and
from the restaurant. At home with meals from Eating In, you can enjoy your own wine without paying 3 times the price,
a menu that reflects a healthy lifestyle without tipping or tax and you don't have to drive! You can eat in the comfort of
your own home at a time convenient for you. And if you add the cost of tax, tip, gasoline and inflated wine prices, the cost
of a Personal Chef is better value for your money. The experience of going out to eat cannot be replaced--but for all those
times you choose to stay home you deserve to eat well. We offer you home-cooked meals with a gourmet touch along with a quality
service.
